Zero waste, zero extra effort

Learn how you can make a big change without making big changes. It's a lot like your conventional shop, just newer, better and 100% zero waste.

Zero waste, zero extra effort
All the groceries you normally buy at the supermarket, 100% zero waste.

Sounds big, right?

A big change?

We know that's what it sounds like, but that's what we're here for.

We want to help you to make a big change, without making big changes.

The weekly.shop grocery shopping experience is designed to be as familiar as possible, while also being a newer, more modern version of what you've seen before.

The weekly shop should be a breeze not a chore, that's what we're going for. Our platform is fast and intuitive and we want you to love it because it's easy as much as because it's 100% zero waste.

Having to make a big change is one of the main reasons the "action gap" exists between a person's desire or intention to be more sustainable, and the choices they actually make.

We are here to bridge the gap.

If it's just as easy, it works better and it's competitively priced, why would you not choose the sustainable option?

Making it easy for you

You don't have to do extra work to shop zero waste, it's all taken care of by us.

When you shop at your local supermarket or online, you put things in your basket, bring them home or get them delivered, you put them away in the fridge or cupboards, you use them up and then throw the packaging away.

Using our service is exactly the same as that but with two small differences, which do need a little explaining:

  1. No throwing packaging away at the end.

This is the zero waste bit.

Having used the products just like normal, instead of throwing the packaging away you put it back in the bag we delivered your order in (everything comes in a reusable container, jar, bottle or bag that we provide, you don't need your own).

We then collect this when we deliver your next order (no rush, each week we just collect what's empty so far).

We will never send you any packaging that goes in the bin. Not the main bin, not the recycling bins. No packaging is going in any bins.

  1. We're on a schedule - it's a weekly delivery on a flexible subscription.

A bit like a veg box, milkman or meal kit service, and like those services we deliver to different areas on different days. We aim to offer more delivery day choice as we grow.

You can edit or cancel your order until 9am the day before the next delivery is due, we send you reminders to check your order during the week.

The key improvement we've made here is that even though the delivery is weekly, every product can be set on it's own schedule.

For example:

    1. Set milk to come every week
    2. Set hand wash to come every 3 weeks
    3. Set shampoo to come every 4 weeks
    4. Add your dishwasher tablets as a one-off whenever you run out

This is very quick to do. We show you what's coming next, as well as the things you have scheduled that aren't due in the next delivery. You can change it all around as much as you like, doing so will instantly update your upcoming order as well as those beyond it.

We don't want you to spend any longer checking your order than you need to.

Here's a short clip of this in action:

We hope you'll find real convenience in the weekly schedule, as the products we sell are the products you're likely to buy regularly anyway.

So, as far as how the service works when you order from us, that's it. It's what you're used to with two key differences.

We deliver your order, you eat and use the products, we collect any empties on the next delivery. Easy.

Please note that we are working very hard to rapidly grow the number of products we sell so that you can swap to a zero waste option for more products. As we're new we don't yet sell everything, we'd love it if you switch to zero waste for whatever you can, and consider future switches as we add products.
